Tandoori Lamb

Tandoori lamb is a flavorful and aromatic Indian dish made with marinated lamb cooked in a tandoor or oven.

Ingredients

  • Lemon wedges - For serving
  • Fresh cilantro - For garnish
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - To taste
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Tandoori masala - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger - garlic paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Yogurt - 1 cup
  • Lamb leg - 1 kg, boneless and cut into pieces

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, tandoori masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to make a marinade.
  2. Add the lamb pieces to the marinade and coat them evenly. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Thread the marinated lamb pieces onto skewers and place them on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil.
  5. Brush the lamb pieces with vegetable oil to keep them moist during cooking.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the lamb is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  7. Remove the skewers from the oven and let the lamb rest for a few minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with lemon wedges.
