Tandoori Fish

This flavorful Tandoori Fish recipe features marinated fish fillets cooked in a traditional tandoor oven or grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

  • Lemon wedges - For serving
  • Fresh cilantro - For garnish
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - To taste
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Tandoori masala - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger - garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Yogurt - 1/2 cup
  • Fish fillets - 4 pieces

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, tandoori masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt to make the marinade.
  2. Add the fish fillets to the marinade and coat them well. Let them marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat the grill or tandoor oven to medium-high heat.
  4. Brush the grill grates or tandoor oven with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  5. Place the marinated fish fillets on the grill or in the tandoor oven and cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and has a charred exterior.
  6. Remove the fish from the grill or tandoor oven and garnish with fresh cilantro.
  7. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
