Stir Fried Basil and Chili Chicken

This stir-fried chicken dish is packed with flavors of basil and chili. It's quick, easy, and perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh basil leaves - 1 cup
  • Red chili - 2, thinly sliced
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Chicken breast - 500g, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sliced red chili. Stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced chicken breast and stir-fry until cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture into the wok and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  6. Add fresh basil leaves and stir-fry for an additional 1 minute until wilted.
  7. Remove from heat and serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
