Ingredients
Green onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
Barbecue sauce - 1/4 cup
Hot sauce - 1/4 cup
Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Jalapeno - 1, seeded and finely chopped
Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
Onion - 1/2, finely chopped
Egg - 1
Breadcrumbs - 1/2 cup
Ground beef - 1 pound
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, jalapeno, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
In a separate bowl, mix together the hot sauce and barbecue sauce.
Pour the sauce mixture over the meatballs in the skillet. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
Serve the spicy meatballs hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
