Spicy Korean Tofu Wraps

These spicy Korean tofu wraps are packed with flavor and make a delicious and healthy meal.

Ingredients

  • Toasted sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, sliced
  • Tortilla wraps - 4
  • Lettuce leaves - 8
  • Cucumber - 1, julienned
  • Carrots - 1, julienned
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Gochujang (korean chili paste) - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Extra firm tofu - 1 block, drained and sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, gochujang, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and sugar. Mix well to make the marinade.
  2. Add the sliced tofu to the marinade and let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and cook the marinated tofu for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Remove the tofu from the pan and set aside.
  5. Place a tortilla wrap on a flat surface and layer with lettuce leaves, marinated tofu, julienned carrots, julienned cucumber, sliced green onions, and toasted sesame seeds.
  6. Fold the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly to form a wrap.
  7. Repeat with the remaining tortilla wraps and ingredients.
  8. Serve the spicy Korean tofu wraps with extra gochujang sauce on the side for dipping, if desired.
