Ingredients

  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Bacon - 6 slices, cooked and crumbled
  • Cheddar cheese - 2 cups, shredded
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1, diced
  • Pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Eggs - 4
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • Day - old bread - 6 cups, cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Place the bread cubes in the prepared dish.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until soft and fragrant.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes, making sure all the bread is soaked.
  6. Sprinkle the sautéed onion and garlic, shredded cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped parsley over the bread.
  7. Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the top is golden and the pudding is set.
