Salmon Burger

Salmon Burger

These delicious salmon burgers are made with fresh salmon fillets and seasoned with herbs and spices.

Ingredients

  • Mayonnaise - 4 tablespoons
  • Red onion - 1, thinly sliced
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Lettuce - 4 leaves
  • Burger buns - 4
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
  • Dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Green onions - 2, finely chopped
  • Egg - 1, beaten
  • Breadcrumbs - 1/2 cup
  • Salmon fillets - 1 lb, skinless and boneless

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, pulse the salmon fillets until coarsely chopped.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chopped salmon, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, green onions, dill, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the salmon patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  6. Toast the burger buns if desired.
  7. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun.
  8. Place a salmon patty on top of the mayonnaise.
  9. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion slices.
  10. Cover with the top half of the bun.
  11. Serve the salmon burgers with your favorite side dish and enjoy!
