Ricotta Cheese and Spinach Stuffed Shells

These delicious stuffed shells are filled with a creamy ricotta and spinach mixture, topped with marinara sauce and melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Marinara sauce - 2 cups
  • Mozzarella cheese - 1 cup, shredded
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
  • Egg - 1
  • Spinach - 2 cups, cooked and chopped
  • Ricotta cheese - 2 cups
  • Jumbo pasta shells - 24 shells

Instructions

  1. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, cooked spinach, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the ricotta and spinach mixture and place them in the baking dish.
  6. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed shells.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
