Ingredients

  • Chocolate shavings - For garnish
  • Whipped cream - For serving
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch - 1/4 cup
  • Cocoa powder - 1/4 cup
  • Granulated sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Milk - 2 cups

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
  2. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the pudding into individual serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
  6. Serve chilled, topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
