Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

These Philly Cheesesteak Sliders are mini sandwiches filled with thinly sliced steak, sautéed peppers and onions, and melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Dijon mustard - 2 tablespoons
  • Mayonnaise - 1/4 cup
  • Slider buns - 12
  • Provolone cheese - 6 slices
  • Onion - 1, thinly sliced
  • Bell peppers - 2, thinly sliced
  • Steak - 1 pound, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet and sauté until they are soft and slightly caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Push the sautéed onions and peppers to one side of the skillet and add the thinly sliced steak to the other side. Cook the steak until it is browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
  6. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom halves of the slider buns.
  7. Layer the cooked steak on top of the mayonnaise.
  8. Top the steak with the sautéed onions and peppers.
  9. Place a slice of provolone cheese on top of the onions and peppers.
  10. Place the top halves of the slider buns on top of the cheese.
  11. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through.
  12. Serve the Philly Cheesesteak Sliders warm and enjoy!
