Peach and Plum French Toast

This delicious French toast is made with fresh peaches, plums, and a hint of cinnamon.

Ingredients

  • Powdered sugar - For dusting
  • Maple syrup - For serving
  • Plums - 2, sliced
  • Peaches - 2, sliced
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Eggs - 2
  • Bread slices - 4

Instructions

  1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  2. Dip each bread slice into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with cooking spray or butter.
  4. Place the soaked bread slices onto the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  5. Remove the cooked French toast from the skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add the sliced peaches and plums. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until slightly softened.
