Peach and Plum Crumble

This delicious peach and plum crumble is a perfect summer dessert. The sweet and juicy peaches and plums are topped with a crunchy crumble topping.

Ingredients

  • Unsalted butter - 1/2 cup, cold and cubed
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Brown sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Rolled oats - 1/2 cup
  • All - purpose flour - 1 cup
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Plums - 2 cups, sliced
  • Peaches - 4 cups, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, sliced plums, sugar, and lemon juice. Toss to coat the fruit evenly.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Add the cold cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Pour the fruit mixture into a baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the crumble topping over the fruit, covering it completely.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the fruit is bubbling and the crumble topping is golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
