Peach and Plum Cobbler

This delicious peach and plum cobbler is the perfect summer dessert. It features juicy peaches and plums topped with a buttery, cinnamon-infused crust.

Ingredients

  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Unsalted butter - 1/2 cup, melted
  • Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • All - purpose flour - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Plums - 2 cups, sliced
  • Peaches - 4 cups, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, sliced plums, and 1/2 cup of sugar. Mix well and let sit for 10 minutes to allow the fruit to release its juices.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the fruit mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Spoon the batter evenly over the fruit.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
