Oregano and Parmesan Roasted Chicken

This flavorful roasted chicken is seasoned with oregano and Parmesan cheese, resulting in a delicious and crispy dish.

Ingredients

  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup, grated
  • Dried oregano - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Chicken - 1 whole, about 4 pounds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, dried oregano, Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Rub the mixture all over the chicken, including under the skin and inside the cavity.
  5. Place the chicken on a roasting pan or baking dish, breast side up.
  6. Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is golden and crispy.
  7. Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
