This delicious orange beef is a flavorful and tangy dish made with tender beef strips and a zesty orange sauce.

Ingredients

  • Orange slices - For garnish
  • Green onions - 2, sliced
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Orange juice - 1/2 cup
  • Orange zest - 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Beef sirloin - 1 pound, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss the beef slices with cornstarch until coated.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  3. Add the beef slices and cook until browned and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic, ginger, and orange zest. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add orange juice, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
  6. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Return the beef slices to the skillet and toss to coat them in the sauce.
  8. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the beef is heated through.
  9. Garnish with sliced green onions and orange slices.
  10. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
