Orange Chicken

This delicious orange chicken is made with crispy chicken pieces coated in a tangy orange sauce.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, sliced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Orange zest - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Orange juice - 1/2 cup
  • Vegetable oil - 1/4 cup
  • Cornstarch - 1/2 cup
  • Chicken breast - 2 boneless, skinless breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch until coated.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the coated chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the orange juice, soy sauce, honey, orange zest, garlic, and ginger.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the cooked chicken.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and coats the chicken.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
  8. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
