Mushroom and Garlic Pasta

This creamy mushroom and garlic pasta is a delicious and comforting dish that is quick and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
  • Heavy cream - 1/2 cup
  • Mushrooms - 8 ounces, sliced
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Pasta - 8 ounces

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they release their moisture and become golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and cook until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated with the creamy mushroom sauce.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
