Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup

A classic comfort food combination of grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup.

Ingredients

  • Tomato soup - 2 cups
  • Butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Cheddar cheese - 4 slices
  • Bread - 4 slices

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Place 2 slices of bread, buttered side down, on the skillet.
  4. Top each slice with 2 slices of cheddar cheese.
  5. Cover with the remaining 2 slices of bread, buttered side up.
  6. Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Meanwhile, heat the tomato soup in a separate pot until hot.
  8. Serve the grilled cheese sandwiches with a side of tomato soup for dipping.
