Fig and Balsamic Glazed Figs with Prosciutto

This elegant appetizer combines the sweetness of figs with the tanginess of balsamic glaze and the savory flavor of prosciutto.

Ingredients

  • Fresh basil leaves - 8
  • Goat cheese - 1/4 cup, crumbled
  • Prosciutto slices - 8
  • Balsamic glaze - 1/4 cup
  • Fresh figs - 8

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut a small cross at the top of each fig, about halfway down.
  3. Place the figs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the figs, making sure to get some inside the cuts.
  5. Wrap each fig with a slice of prosciutto.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the prosciutto is crispy and the figs are softened.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  8. Sprinkle crumbled goat cheese over the figs and garnish each with a fresh basil leaf.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!
