Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil - 1/4 cup
  • Egg - 1, beaten
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • All - purpose flour - 1/4 cup
  • Cornmeal - 1/2 cup
  • Corn kernels - 1 cup
  • Okra - 1 pound, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Dip the okra slices and corn kernels into the beaten egg, then coat them in the cornmeal mixture.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the coated okra and corn to the skillet and cook until crispy and golden brown, about 10-12 minutes.
