Chili Mac and Cheese

A hearty and comforting dish that combines the best of chili and macaroni and cheese.

Ingredients

  • Cheddar cheese - 2 cups, shredded
  • Macaroni - 2 cups, uncooked
  • Tomato sauce - 1 can (15 ounces)
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1, chopped
  • Ground beef - 1 pound

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink. Drain the fat.
  2. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and tomato sauce. Bring to a simmer.
  3. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the macaroni until al dente. Drain.
  4. Add the cooked macaroni to the skillet and stir to combine.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Serve the chili mac and cheese hot.
