Caramelized Scallops

These sweet, succulent scallops are seared to perfection and served with a delicious caramelized sauce.

Ingredients

  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Scallops - 1 pound

Instructions

  1. Season the scallops with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the scallops and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  4. Remove the scallops from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Add the brown sugar and lemon juice, stirring to combine.
  7. Return the scallops to the skillet and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized.
  8. Serve the scallops with the caramelized sauce.
