Cabbage and Mushroom Stir Fry

This delicious stir fry combines cabbage and mushrooms with a flavorful sauce.

Ingredients

  • Toasted sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
  • Green onions - 2, sliced (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Mushrooms - 8 ounces, sliced
  • Cabbage - 1 small head, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
  2. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced cabbage and mushrooms to the skillet and stir fry for 5-7 minutes, until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the sauce over the cabbage and mushrooms in the skillet and toss to coat.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
  8. Serve hot as a side dish or over steamed rice as a main course.
