Air Fryer Calamari

Crispy and delicious calamari made in the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • Marinara sauce - For serving
  • Lemon wedges - For serving
  • Cooking spray - As needed
  • Egg - 1, beaten
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cornmeal - 1/2 cup
  • All - purpose flour - 1/2 cup
  • Calamari rings - 1 pound

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Dip each calamari ring into the beaten egg, then coat it in the flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Place the coated calamari rings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching.
  5. Lightly spray the calamari rings with cooking spray.
  6. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until the calamari is golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve hot with lemon wedges and marinara sauce for dipping.
