Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Wash the rice and moong dal together and pressure cook with 4 cups of water for 4 whistles.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, black pepper, finely chopped ginger, curry leaves and cashew nuts.
  3. Fry until the cashew nuts turn golden brown.
  4. Add this tempering to the cooked rice and dal mixture.
  5. Add salt to taste and mix well.
  6. Serve hot with sambar and chutney.
