Uunilohi
Uunilohi is a traditional Finnish dish of oven-baked salmon marinated in a flavorful mixture of dill, lemon, and spices.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Lemon - 1, juiced and zested
- Fresh dill - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Salmon fillets - 4 pieces
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, combine the chopped dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
- Place the salmon fillets in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them. Make sure the fillets are evenly coated.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and let the salmon marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until it is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve the uunilohi hot with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
