Ume Juice

- Water - 4 cups
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Ume (japanese plums) - 10 plums
Let's Get Started
- Wash the ume and remove the stems.
- In a large pot, add the ume and sugar. Let it sit for an hour to let the ume release its juice.
- Add water to the pot and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 30 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and let it cool.
- Once cooled, strain the juice into a pitcher.
- Refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice.
