Tan Tan Noodles
Tan Tan Noodles, also known as Dan Dan Noodles, are a spicy and flavorful Sichuan dish made with ground pork, chili oil, and sesame paste.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Roasted peanuts - 2 tablespoons, crushed
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Chicken broth - 1 cup
- Sesame paste - 2 tablespoons
- Chili oil - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ground pork - 1/2 lb
- Egg noodles - 8 oz
Let's Get Started
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground pork over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and cook for another minute.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, chili oil, sesame paste, and chicken broth.
- Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the cooked pork. Stir well to combine.
- Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet and toss to coat the noodles in the sauce.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the noodles are heated through.
- Serve the Tan Tan Noodles in bowls, garnished with chopped green onions, cilantro, and crushed roasted peanuts.
