Taho
Taho is a popular Filipino street food made with soft tofu, sweet syrup, and tapioca pearls.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 2 cups
- Brown sugar - 1/4 cup
- Tapioca pearls - 1/2 cup
- Soft tofu - 1 block
Let's Get Started
- Cook the tapioca pearls according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Cut the soft tofu into small cubes.
- To serve, place a few spoonfuls of the cooked tapioca pearls in a bowl. Add a few cubes of soft tofu on top. Drizzle with the sweet syrup.
- Enjoy the taho while it's still warm!
