Spinach and Gouda Grilled Cheese
This delicious grilled cheese sandwich is made with fresh spinach and creamy Gouda cheese.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Pepper - To taste
- Salt - To taste
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Bread - 4 slices
- Gouda cheese - 4 slices
- Spinach - 2 cups, fresh
Let's Get Started
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together the butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on the skillet or griddle.
- Layer each slice with a slice of Gouda cheese, followed by a cup of fresh spinach.
- Top with another slice of Gouda cheese and a slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Cook the sandwiches for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the heat and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Cut the sandwiches in half and serve warm.
