Solomillo al Whiskey
Solomillo al Whiskey, or Whiskey Steak, is a popular Spanish dish. It's a simple recipe where pork tenderloin is marinated in a garlic and whiskey sauce, then fried to perfection.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Chicken broth - 1/2 cup
- Pepper - To taste
- Salt - To taste
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Whiskey - 1 cup
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Pork tenderloin - 1 kg
Let's Get Started
- Cut the pork tenderloin into thick slices and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the pork slices and fry until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove the pork from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the whiskey to the pan and let it reduce for a few minutes.
- Return the pork to the pan, add the chicken broth, and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
- Serve the Solomillo al Whiskey with some of the sauce poured over the top.
