Skillet Seared Tofu with Vegetables
A healthy and flavorful dish featuring seared tofu and a colorful medley of vegetables.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Carrots - 2, sliced
- Broccoli - 1 cup, chopped
- Red bell pepper - 1, sliced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Extra firm tofu - 1 block, drained and cut into cubes
Let's Get Started
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the garlic, bell pepper, broccoli, and carrots. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Return the tofu to the skillet. Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until everything is heated through.
- Serve the tofu and vegetables over rice or noodles, if desired.
