Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. In a bowl, combine the shrimp, buttermilk, and hot sauce. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, and Creole seasoning.
  3. Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F.
  4. Dredge the shrimp in the cornmeal mixture, shaking off any excess.
  5. Fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Spread the remoulade sauce on the French bread. Top with the lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and fried shrimp.
  8. Serve immediately.
