Sencha
Sencha is a type of Japanese ryokucha which is prepared by infusing the processed whole tea leaves in hot water. This is as opposed to matcha, powdered Japanese green tea, where the green tea powder is mixed with hot water and therefore the leaf itself is included in the beverage.

- Sencha tea leaves - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 1 cup
Let's Get Started
- Boil the water to 80°C (176°F).
- Add the sencha tea leaves to a teapot.
- Pour the hot water over the tea leaves.
- Steep for 1-2 minutes.
- Pour the tea into a cup, making sure to distribute the liquid evenly if making more than one serving.
- Enjoy your sencha tea hot.
