Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Place the eggs in a pot of cold water and bring to a boil. Boil for 9 minutes, then immediately transfer to a bowl of ice water to cool.
  2. Peel the eggs.
  3. Divide the sausage meat into 4 equal portions.
  4. Flatten a portion of the sausage meat into a patty, place an egg in the center, and wrap the meat around the egg. Repeat with the remaining eggs and sausage meat.
  5. Roll each sausage-wrapped egg in flour, then beaten egg, then breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F.
  7. Fry the Scotch eggs until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  8. Drain on paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
