Prawn and Broccoli Stir Fry
This delicious stir fry combines succulent prawns with crisp broccoli in a flavorful sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Black pepper - To taste
- Salt - To taste
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Broccoli - 1 head, cut into florets
- Prawns - 250g
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan and stir fry for 1 minute.
- Add the prawns to the pan and cook until they turn pink and are cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the prawns from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the broccoli florets and stir fry for 2-3 minutes, until they are crisp-tender.
- Return the prawns to the pan and pour the sauce mixture over the prawns and broccoli.
- Stir fry for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the prawns and broccoli.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve the prawn and broccoli stir fry hot with steamed rice or noodles.
