Pork Chops with Mushroom Gravy

Let's Get Started

  1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the pork chops and cook until browned on both sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the mushrooms and cook until browned. Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms and stir to combine. Cook for another minute.
  5. Slowly whisk in the chicken broth, making sure to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook until the sauce has thickened, about 5 minutes.
  7. Return the pork chops to the skillet and cook until they are cooked through, about 10 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
