Poached Salmon with Hollandaise Sauce

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. In a large skillet, bring the water, white wine, and sliced lemon to a simmer.
  2. Gently place the salmon fillets into the simmering liquid and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  3. While the salmon is cooking, prepare the hollandaise sauce. In a heatproof bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and lemon juice.
  4. Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water.
  5. Slowly drizzle in the melted butter while whisking constantly until the sauce thickens.
  6. Season the hollandaise sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Remove the poached salmon from the liquid and transfer to serving plates.
  8. Pour the hollandaise sauce over the salmon fillets and garnish with fresh dill.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
