Let's Get Started

  1. Fill a large saucepan with water and bring it to a gentle simmer.
  2. Add the white vinegar to the simmering water.
  3. Crack one egg into a small bowl or ramekin.
  4. Create a gentle whirlpool in the simmering water using a spoon.
  5. Carefully slide the egg into the center of the whirlpool.
  6. Repeat steps 3-5 for the remaining eggs.
  7. Poach the eggs for about 3-4 minutes for a soft yolk or 5-6 minutes for a firmer yolk.
  8. Using a slotted spoon, carefully remove the poached eggs from the water and place them on a paper towel to drain excess water.
  9. Season the poached eggs with salt and pepper.
  10. Spread butter on the toasted bread slices.
  11. Place a poached egg on each slice of toast.
  12. Serve immediately and enjoy!
