Pichade
Pichade is a traditional dish from Menton, in the French Riviera. It's a sort of pizza topped with onions, anchovies and olives.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Black olives - 1/2 cup, pitted
- Anchovies - 1 can
- Onions - 2 large, thinly sliced
- Pizza dough - 1 large
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until they are soft and golden.
- Spread the cooked onions evenly over the pizza dough.
- Arrange the anchovies and olives on top of the onions.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the toppings are bubbly.
- Let the pichade cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
