Pepper Steak Stir Fry
This delicious pepper steak stir fry is made with tender strips of beef, colorful bell peppers, and a flavorful sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Cooked rice - 4 cups, for serving
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Oyster sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Bell peppers - 2 medium, thinly sliced
- Beef sirloin - 1 pound, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
- Add beef slices and stir fry for 2-3 minutes, until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onion, bell peppers, garlic, and ginger. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes, until vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the sauce mixture. Stir fry for another 2 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the pepper steak stir fry over cooked rice.
