Odeng
Odeng is a popular Korean street food made with fish cake slices served in a flavorful broth.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Seaweed flakes - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, thinly sliced
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Mirin - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Dashi broth - 4 cups
- Fish cake slices - 12 pieces
Let's Get Started
- In a pot, bring the dashi broth to a boil.
- Add the soy sauce, mirin, and sugar to the broth. Stir well to combine.
- Add the fish cake slices to the broth and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove the fish cake slices from the broth and set aside.
- Add the green onions and seaweed flakes to the broth. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Return the fish cake slices to the broth and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Drizzle sesame oil over the soup before serving.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
