Mushroom and Shrimp Pasta
This creamy mushroom and shrimp pasta is a delicious and satisfying dish that combines the flavors of mushrooms, shrimp, garlic, and cream sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Heavy cream - 1 cup
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Mushrooms - 8 ounces, sliced
- Shrimp - 1 pound, peeled and deveined
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Pasta - 8 ounces
Let's Get Started
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the shrimp and cook until pink and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. Cook until the mushrooms are tender and golden brown, about 5 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta and cooked shrimp to the skillet. Toss to coat the pasta and shrimp with the creamy sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until everything is heated through.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
