Mushroom and Chicken Alfredo Pasta
This creamy and flavorful mushroom and chicken Alfredo pasta is a delicious and satisfying dish.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
- Pasta - 12 oz, cooked according to package instructions
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Heavy cream - 1 cup
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Mushrooms - 8 oz, sliced
- Chicken breast - 2, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
Let's Get Started
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. Cook until the mushrooms are tender and golden, about 5 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta and cooked chicken back to the skillet. Toss to coat the pasta and chicken with the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until everything is heated through.
- Serve the mushroom and chicken Alfredo pasta hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
