Mushroom and Beef Stir Fry
This delicious mushroom and beef stir-fry is packed with flavor and perfect for a quick and easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Green onions - 2, sliced
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Oyster sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Mushrooms - 8 ounces, sliced
- Beef sirloin - 1 pound, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
- Add the beef slices and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the mushrooms, garlic, and ginger. Cook until the mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the sauce mixture. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
