Microwave Poached Eggs with Toast

Let's Get Started

  1. Fill a microwave-safe bowl with water and add salt. Stir to dissolve the salt.
  2. Crack the eggs into the bowl, making sure they are fully submerged in the water.
  3. Cover the bowl with a microwave-safe plate or microwave-safe plastic wrap.
  4. Microwave on high for 1 minute, then carefully remove the bowl from the microwave and gently stir the eggs.
  5. Return the bowl to the microwave and microwave on high for another 1-2 minutes, or until the eggs are cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. While the eggs are cooking, toast the bread slices until golden brown.
  7. Spread butter on the toasted bread slices.
  8. Carefully remove the poached eggs from the bowl using a slotted spoon and place them on top of the buttered toast.
  9. Season the eggs with salt and pepper to taste.
