  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Place the halved peppers in a baking dish, cut side up.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until soft.
  4. Add the cooked lentils, cottage cheese, and tomato sauce to the pan. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Spoon the lentil and cheese mixture into the pepper halves.
  6. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the filling is heated through.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
