Ingredients - Serves 6

Let's Get Started

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the beef cubes and brown them on all sides. Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, add the chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté until the onions are translucent.
  4. Add the carrots and potatoes to the pot and cook for a few minutes.
  5. Return the beef to the pot and pour in the beef broth.
  6. Stir in the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, paprika, thyme, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.
  7. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and simmer for about 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
  8. Remove the bay leaf before serving.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve the köttgryta hot with mashed potatoes or crusty bread.
