Kombucha

Ingredients - Serves 8

Let's Get Started

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a large pot.
  2. Once the water is boiling, remove from heat and stir in the sugar until it is fully dissolved.
  3. Add the tea bags and allow them to steep until the water has cooled. This may take a few hours.
  4. Once the tea is cool, remove the tea bags and stir in the kombucha from a previous batch.
  5. Pour the mixture into a large glass jar and gently add the SCOBY.
  6. Cover the jar with a cloth or coffee filter and secure with a rubber band.
  7. Allow the kombucha to ferment at room temperature for 7-10 days.
  8. After it's fermented to your liking, remove the SCOBY and reserve it for your next batch. Pour the kombucha into bottles and refrigerate.
