Keto Tacos with Cheese Shells
These keto tacos are made with cheese shells instead of traditional tortillas, making them low-carb and delicious.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Lime - 1, juiced
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Sour cream - 1/4 cup
- Avocado - 1, sliced
- Tomato - 1, diced
- Lettuce - 1 cup, shredded
- Taco seasoning - 1 tablespoon
- Ground beef - 1/2 pound
- Cheddar cheese - 1 cup, shredded
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Divide the shredded cheddar cheese into 4 equal portions on the baking sheet, shaping them into circles.
- Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
- In the meantime, cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning and a splash of water to the skillet. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- To assemble the tacos, place a cheese shell on a plate and fill with the cooked ground beef, shredded lettuce, diced tomato, sliced avocado, sour cream, and chopped cilantro.
- Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top and season with salt and pepper to taste.
